The day I tested positive

It was Sunday just about finishing at work we ( those working in isolation Wings) had our Rat test done all of us including me tested negative on Rat test. The day after I had a driving Practical test which did not go well. On the day itself I could not sleep properly had a disturbing sleep. Next day went to work at 0700 hours around 1010 hours during sort break I had my rat test done. The nurse did the testing and all of a sudden his facial expression’s changed and was looking at me as if a big calamity has happened. He looked at me as I was also watching him, ‘you tested positive mate’. He told me to isolate for 7 days including the day I tested positive. I was surprised to hear that but when he showed the test to me there was two lines which clearly means I was positive. I could not come to terms with the thought that I have a young family. I sat down in the barbecue area at work and rang my wife, ‘ I tested positive’. She said, I will come to pick you and later when she arrived at the workplace, we went to Covid-19’s testing centre near Kmart to get the rapid antigens test, but we did not know we have to register online which takes time. We both decided to get the PCR test and after we came home. I did not enter my house and stayed in the car. My wife made me a hot drink consisting of turmeric, fenugreek, cumin, ginger etc. to make me feel better. I also had my lunch in the car. Around 1500 hours our neighbours Sushma Sister vacated her room and asked me to come and take rest.
